What could be more lovely than a couple competing at the highest level of football while also maintaining a great home and relationship off the field? Ada Hegerberg, one of Norway’s most recognized and decorated female soccer stars, and her husband, Thomas Rogne, a defender for Swedish club Helsingborgs IF and the Norwegian men’s national team, are the subjects of this story.
Before getting married in 2019, both had represented Norway at the youth and senior levels. While Rogne has received two caps since 2012, his wife, Hergerberg, has received more than 70 caps and scored more than 40 goals for the country. Here’s a look at the coup’s life both on and off the field.
Ada Hegerberg’s Husband, Thomas Rogne Started Playing Club Football In 2008 Before Making A National Team Debut In 2012
Thomas Rogne (34) was born on June 29, 1990, in Baerum, Norway. He joined his hometown club Stabk in 2008 when he was roughly 18 years old, but an injury picked up during a pre-season game held him out for the entire season.
Rogne moved to Celtic in 2010, where he stayed for three years until signing as a free agent with Wigan Athletic in June 2013. He went on to play for the Polish club Lech Poznan and the Greek team Apollon Smyrnis FC during the next few years.
He signed a contract with the Swedish club Helsingborgs IF in July 2022, where he will remain until the end of 2024.
Apart from his club career, Rogne’s international career began at the youthful level in 2009, when he represented Norway in the 2009 UEFA Under-19 Championship qualifying. Following that, he led the under-21 squad to the 2013 UEFA European Under-21 Championship in Israel.
In addition, he was called up to the senior national squad in March 2011 for a Euro 2012 qualifier against Denmark, but he did not participate. His debut came in a 3-0 win over Northern Ireland in February 2012.
So far, Rogne has made only 2 appearances for Norway’s national team.
