She Allegedly Scammed her Followers to Make Millions
As mentioned earlier, she claimed to have made millions of dollars in less than an hour through her digital platform. While this may be a marketing strategy, many later came out to accuse her and Joshua of scamming these unsuspecting followers through the courses she offered. Notably, a woman named Sherell was the first to accuse her of taking as much as $2,000 without actually teaching them all they needed to know.
Considering that she was a mentor to a lot of colored young women, they accused her of using their stories to identify with them after which she scammed them. On August 31, 2022, a petition was started by one Montgomery Nathan on behalf of several aggrieved followers. So far, they have gained over 2500 signatures out of 5000 that they are aiming for.
She Allegedly Received a Payout After Loosing Her Fingers in a Work Accident
While she claims that she made all her wealth from her numerous business activities and social media presence, not many are convinced by this. Apparently, they link her wealth to a compensation settlement she recieved after loosing her fingers in a work related accident. Based on this arguement, she is accused of fraudulent claims.

Ashley was Indicted for Racketeering and Hire-to-Kill-Plot
In 2020, the FBI put one of Massengill’s former Facebook acquaintances, Dr. Derricka Harwell under their protection. A closer look at the matter reveals a shocking story of friendship turned sour. According to Harwell, she and Massengill got acquainted on facebook in 2020 but things took a turn between the pair after Massengile posted her address and derogatroy comments about her in a now-deleted August 2022 post.
Following this, the FBI is said to have told Harwell that she was a targetin a hire-to-kill-plot masterminded by Massengil and Joshua, her husband. Thusly, they law enforcement body put Harwell under their protection. Also, Massengil and Grayson were charged for racketeering and murder for hire plots by the FBI based on the RICO act of 1970. Considering that RICO cases are not usually easy to beat, Ashley is likely going to spend time behind bars if found guilty.
So far, the Tiktok content creator tried to find her way out of the murder for hire allegation. She petitioned the United States District Court on April 4, 2023, but the court was unable to determine who was telling the truth between Harwell and Massengill.
