Caspar Zafer Early Life and Background
He was born Caspar Leo Zafar on October 26, 1974, in Ukraine. Despite being referred to as an English man these days, he spent most of his childhood in the middle east. His parents purportedly moved to Mexico in 1993 and to this day, he refers to it as his best country in the world.
He had his early education in schools ranging from the Emirates International School based in Dubai before moving to the UK for further studies.
While in the UK, he started pursuing his career when he enrolled at the Oxford School of Drama. Part of his training included working at the BBC before moving into an acting career.
How Did He Make His Breakthrough as an Actor?
The Ukraine-born actor launched his career as far back as 2001 when he appeared on television. Going forward, he took on many roles in movies. In fact, he appeared in a leading role in the 2006 historical adventure film Tirante el Blanco which is based on the events leading to the fall of Constantinople.
At the time, Zasper did not get the acclaim he needed to surge him in his career till he appeared in the CW supernatural drama series, Vampire Diaries. He played the role of Finn Mikaelson in the series. The series ran for 8 seasons and concluded in 2017 but if there is anything captivating about it, it is the continuation it affords on its sequel, The Originals.

Caspar Zafer Holds a World Rowing Record
Having made a name for himself as an actor, the trained entertainer decided to pursue one of his passions, rowing. He started rowing back in the University but he picked up the passion in 2014 when he applied for The Great Pacific Race which is considered one of the most dangerous ocean rowing on the planet. Moreso, he and three other rowers under the Uniting Nations team beat others in The Great Pacific Race.
The feat places them in the Guinness World Record as the first four-man team to accomplish such a feat in 2014. While the race itself involved them covering the distance of 2400 miles of water in a period of 43 days, it came with many challenges. Their instruments started falling apart just eight days after they left Monterrey, California the starting line of the Monterrey-Hawaii Pacific Race.
Zafer’s team comprised people from different countries ranging from Korea(Junho Choi), New Zealand(Craig Hackett), and the Netherlands’ Andre Kiers, whom they had never met. As the story goes, Zafer met others only a month before embarking on the adventure when race director Chris Martin assigned them together since they had applied individually.

Though the actor is married, he has not revealed the name of his wife. Going by his social media updates, he shares two children with his wife. Their oldest child, a son named Jagger was born on December 5, 2014, followed shortly by his younger brother, Jodhi.
