- She was a friend and associate of Hulk Hogan’s daughter, Brooke Hogan – a professional wrestler, actress, and TV personality
- Christine’s alleged affair with 71 years old Hogan caused him his more than 2 decades marriage that led him to almost commit suicide
There was a 26-year-old marriage between Hulk Hogan and his then-wife Linda Hogan that came crashing in 2009 in a divorce. In the middle of it was Christiane Plante – a friend and assistant of Brooke Hogan, daughter of Hulk and Linda.
Christiane on her own is not famous but reached stardom as a result of the said affair with Hulk, an International Professional Wrestling Hall of Famer.
Here’s all there is to know about the relationship that may have led to Hogan’s separation in 2007 after 24 years and divorce in 2009 after 26 years.
The Truth About the Christiane Plante Affair With Hulk Hogan
It was in 2008 through a publication by the National Enquirer that it was revealed that Hulk Hogan, born Terry Eugene Bollea was having a romantic relationship with Christine Plante.
The relationship, however, was believed to have started in 2007 at the time that the reality TV show, Hogan Knows Best started. The show also featured his then-wife, TV personality Linda Hogan and their 2 children, Brook and Nick Hogan.
According to some reports, Linda reportedly claimed to have started a relationship with Hulk after he and his wife of more than 2 decades were heading towards a divorce.
This claim does not tally with that of Linda Hogan when there are reports suggesting that she headed for a divorce in late 2007 when she discovered that the former wrestler and father of her 2 children was cheating with Plante.
In 2009, the marriage of actor, Hulk crashed with his TV personality wife Linda.
Hogan Allegedly Wanted a Family With Plante
Although there may be a limited insight into the relationship of Brook’s former assistant turned mistress with Hogan, there are online sources claiming that the WWE Hall of Famer wanted a child with Plante.
His decision according to the allegations is a result of his 2 children with Linda choosing different professions.
While Brooke is a singer, TV personality, actress, and model, his other son Nick is a reality TV personality and car racer.
The authenticity of this claim that the children of Hulk chose other careers, and hence he wanted a child with Plante is questionable. This is because the daughter of the retired wrestler is also a professional wrestler who first appeared in WWE with him in 2006.
Still, other sources claim that Hulk claimed he still wanted children apart from the 2 he had with his first wife.
Hulk Hogan Denied Having a Relationship With Christiane Plante
While there are many reports that Hulk had an extramarital affair with Plante, Hogan denied the claim in an autobiography.
Plante on the other hand was said to have disclosed that there was an affair.
However, based on a record, the actor attested to his wife being suspicious of infidelity whenever he was friends with other women.
Hogan Thought of Suicide After His Divorce Caused by The Cheating Scandal
Hulk Hogan in a 2009 autobiography reportedly wanted to commit suicide after his first divorce until actress Laila Ali, an American Gladiator co-star prevented him.
The divorce left Hulk with only 30% of their liquid assets as well as $3 million worth of properties.
In addition, Linda was given a 40 percent share of the revenue of her ex-husband’s business. However, he had initially reportedly refused to pay.

Hulk Hogan Married and Divorced Again After His Cheating Scandal
Following the crashing of Christiane Plante’s alleged ex, Hulk married Jennifer McDaniel in 2010, and in 2021, they divorced.
The divorce left McDaniel receiving a good sum as well as a car and a home in Palm Isle.
Afterward, he reportedly started dating Sky Daily.
Where is Christiane Plante Now?
Since the scandal of cheating in 2009, there has been scarcely any information available on the life of Plante.
Nonetheless, Hogan would move on to become a business partner of Dixie Carter in 2009. He would also continue with his career in wrestling.
In 2015, the former professional wrestler had his name in a leaked sex tape where he was heard using racial derogatory words – nigger! At the time, his daughter was dating a black man.
He would later accept his being a racist and lose a lot of deals along the line. Subsequently, he asked for forgiveness.
