Cody Saintgnue is an American producer, model, and clothing designer, recording artist/songwriter who was placed in foster care at the age of 9 and adopted 3 years later.
When he got adopted, his life changed and he was allowed to have a family that loved him and cared for him.
In addition to his foster family, Cody also has friends that he can call his brothers. In an Instagram post, he referred to Jansen, a friend he grew up with who unfortunately passed away, as his ‘angel brother’.

Producer Cody was born on June 15, 1993, in Dayton, Ohio, USA. When he was 4 years old, his biological father, Rick Saintgnue, left him and his mother. Through those years, he was without family care, love, and protection.
His birth mother was not seldom available either. She was a heroin addict and escort so she was unable to give him the protection he needed. Due to her work, she suffered physical abuse at the hands of strange men.
Also, Cody revealed that he was brought up in a rough neighborhood where people didn’t care much for younger ones or what they did around them.
Because of this nonchalance, Cody became legally blind in one eye as a cigarette landed in his eyes at the age of 2. According to him, a high adult wasn’t paying attention and so threw a lit cigarette which landed in his eyes.
As already stated, he was in a foster home from the age of 9 and he prayed to be adopted.
At the age of 12, Cody Saintgnue was adopted by a woman named Brenda. A day after being adopted, he asked Brenda if he could call her ‘mom’ because he believed that he would be with her for a very long time.
Brenda responded to him by saying he could call her anything he wanted. From then, the young boy knew that he had found himself a loving family. Since then, he has credited his adoptive mother for his strength and success.
When he was 14 years old, Brenda took him and relocated to Los Angeles for him to train for film and TV acting.
To show his appreciation for what Brenda, Cody’s adoptive mother has done for him, he has roses tattooed on his chest. The roses blossomed into 3 stages indicating where they started, to where they’ve come.
He also has some Cherokee feathers which he got for his biological father, Rick.
Who are his Siblings?
The information about Cody Saintgnue’s siblings is not readily available. It isn’t known if he was kept in the foster home with any other sibling.
Also, the Teenwolf actor hasn’t indicated if his adopted mother, Brenda, has other children. However, he made an Instagram post sometime in February 2023 about his brothers in heaven.
According to the post which was made on February 21, Cody stated that he has 2 brother angels watching him from heaven. He went on to name one of the brothers as Jansen who was his childhood best friend.
Saintgnue’s friend was also an artist and an inspiration to him. The post carried many heartfelt memories as well as messages for the late Jansen who died a few days before the post was made.
Cody did not mention the name of the second brother on the post.
Is Saintgnue Dating?
The ‘Novocaine Joyride’ singer has been rumored to be dating Shannon Jae Prior. Shannon is also a musician whose music is up even on YouTube.
She has even featured the model in her music videos and the chemistry between them was noticeable. This further fueled the news of their dating although neither singers have confirmed nor denied the rumors.
According to whosdatedwho.com, the actor and his supposed girlfriend, Shannon, began dating in August 2019.

Cody Saintgnue has involved himself in many charities over the years because of what he went through as a child.
As an ambassador for the Dave Thomas Foundation, Cody heavily throws weight behind anything that has to do with adoption. He wholeheartedly supports this foster care adoption to find loving, permanent homes for the children in foster care.
He is also an ambassador for Single Mothers Outreach, a non-profit organization whose mission is to empower single-parent families. The organization aims to provide hope, support, and resources to the single mothers of Santa Clarita Community.
The Southland actor is also involved in the youth organization known as You Gotta Believe. The organization’s mission is to help every youth in foster care, leave and find loving families to adopt them.
