Prior to his most recent attributes as husband and devout Christian, Grant Troutt was an athlete who competed in basketball tournaments. But for certain misfortunes, the 28-year-old would have made a career off his athleticism.
Grant Michael Troutt’s Father was the Founder of Excel Communications
Grant was born on March 5, 1996, in Dallas, Texas, United States of America. His parents are the renowned Kenny A. Troutt and Lisa E. Copeland. Kenny was the founder of the now-defunct Excel Communications which fetched him a whopping $3.5 billion in 1998, two years after the birth of Grant.
As of now, the businessman owns and runs a horse breeding business in Kentucky known as WinStar Farm. The business has been lucrative and even won the older Mr. Troutt a couple of awards for his business prowess.
Grant’s father has investments in several other businesses and even started a youth basketball team named ‘Titans’ for his sons and his friend’s son, in 2005.
Grant Troutt grew up with two siblings; a sister named Savannah Troutt and a brother named Preston Troutt.
The young lad attended prestigious schools as his father was a well-established man at the time. He is an alumnus of the Episcopal School of Dallas and UC Santa Barbara where he schooled from 2015 to 2016 before he moved to Southern Methodist University from 2016 to 2019.
Series of Injuries Prevented his Basketball Career from Excelling
As already stated, Troutt’s father started Titans in honor of his children, in 2005. Perhaps perceiving how interested his kids were in the sport, he began to encourage them from a young age.
While at the University of California Santa Barbara the 6 feet 1 inches athlete was on scholarship playing basketball. Unfortunately, this was cut short after a series of injuries kept messing with his ability to play.
This misfortune started with a hip injury that lingered for a long time and prevented him from playing professional basketball.
Troutt started playing and competing at his primary school as a point guard before moving to UCSB. While in high school and playing the sport, he decided to better his skills by attending LeBron James Skills Camp and Nike 100 Camp in 2014.
However, from 2016 to 2017, he became an Assistant Basketball Coach for Link Year. He still roots for the Dallas Cowboys and as of 2019, was an undrafted, unrestricted player.

He Proposed and Got Married to Madison Prewett Months after Meeting
Madison Prewett (28) broke up her 8-month-old relationship with The Bachelor’s Peter Weber and rumor had it that she dated NBA star, Michael Porter Jr. for about 8 months. However that soon ended and over a year later, she began to date Grant.
Shortly after the breakup, the one-time Miss Alabama Teen USA took to her social media page to make the announcement. It was also somewhat of a call for suitable men to drop their applications to be her man.
By May of 2022, Grant debuted his woman Grant and had a lot of beautiful things to say about her. In July of the same year, she and Grant became an official couple as they sealed their commitment by getting engaged.
The engagement happened on July 31, 2022, and despite being prepared to spend the rest of their lives together, Grant still managed to pull a surprise engagement on Madison.
The beach-side proposal comprised candles set at the location, a Bible which had Madison’s name on it, and her dream engagement ring.
Their courting period involved a nervous date, 5 months of wild and adventurous journies together, and keeping themselves chaste until after their wedding.
Troutt and Prewett got married in his family house in Dallas in the presence of 400 guests on October 29, 2022. After the wedding, the couple traveled to Mexico for their honeymoon.

Troutt is a Devout Christian
Grant Michael Troutt’s Instagram bio reads ‘Changed forever by Jesus’ and a bible verse. His posts which date to 2020 have captions and texts that talk about his Christian faith and how deeply rooted in Christ he is.
He also stated that as soon as his basketball career ended, he swiftly turned to Christ and has never regretted it.
Now Troutt doesn’t fret to spread the word and draw people to his faith. He also lets his beliefs guide and lead him through his life, their choices, and his decisions.
An easy example is Grant and his wife keeping themselves away from fornication until they were legally married. Grant and Madison admitted that there were times the temptation was so intense but because of their beliefs and faith, they had to be steadfast and disciplined.
He is Worth about $2 Million
The billionaire son is said to have a net worth as high as $2 million. As an analyst living in Dallas, he could be making up to $80k per year.
However, being the heir to his father’s fortune amassed through Kenny’s years of doing business, he could be one of those to share and inherit part of the older Troutts’ $1.5 Billion net worth.
