Henry Aronofsky’s Parents Committed to Raising Him Together after they Separated
In the summer of 2001, Henry Aronofsky’s parents started dating. They first connected backstage at the Almeida Theatre in London, where Weisz was performing in The Shape of Things. The following year, Weisz moved to New York with Aronofsky, and in 2005, they became engaged.
Their son was born in May 2006 in New York City as earlier mentioned. However, in November 2010, Weisz and Aronofsky revealed that they had been apart for months but remained close friends and were determined to raise their kid together in New York.

In 2016, his father, Darren Aronofsky began dating American actress Jennifer Lawrence, whom he met during the filming of Mother! The relationship ended in November 2017, lasting only 1 year. Darren Aronofsky’s feature film debut, the surrealist psychological thriller Pi (1998), was produced for $60,000 and grossed over $3 million. More so, his follow-up, the psychological drama Requiem for a Dream (2000), garnered strong reviews and received an Academy Award nomination for Ellen Burstyn’s performance. In 2014, Henry’s father received the Humane Filmmaker Award from the Humane Society of the United States among other recognitions.
His mother, on the other hand, was honored with a Critics’ Circle Theatre Award for her performance in the play Design for Living in 1994. Her breakthrough came when she was cast in the lead role of Evelyn Carnahan in the action movies The Mummy (1999) and The Mummy Returns (2001) from Hollywood.
