Two years after their marriage, the couple welcomed their son Peter Ford born in 1945. He went on to become an actor just like his parents, though he no longer acts now.
According to reports, Powell was more celebrated than Ford. But, she sacrificed everything to marry him. He didn’t return the favor, instead, he went about chasing women. Ford continued with his life of chasing after women. 7 years after his divorce from Powell, he tied the knots with actress Kay Piper well known as Kathryn Hays on 27th March 1966. She is recognized for playing the role of Kim Hughes on the CBS soap opera As the World Turns from 1972 to 2010.
The marriage lasted for only three years before the couple headed for divorce on 26th June 1969. They had no children together. Before the marriage, they dated for a year, meaning they first met in 1965.

Cynthia Hayward And Glenn Ford’s Marriage Lasted For 7 Years
Eight years after his second marriage failed, Ford married Cynthia Hayward in 1977. She was the third woman he married.

A book published by Ford’s son Peter Glenn Ford: A Life in 2011 revealed that his father had affairs with 146 actresses, plus a 40 year on and off affair with Rita Hayworth. His affair with the actress dated back to 1945 when the filming of Gilda began. The relationship died, but 3 years later, the pair pick up where they left off during the production of their 1948 film The Lovers of Carmen.
The whole affair resulted in a pregnancy, and Hayworth journeyed to France to terminate it. In 1960, the two became next-door neighbors when Ford moved to Beverly Hills. They resumed the affair for many years until the beginning of the 1980s.
