Even though Patton’s earlier divorce application stated joint custody with Robin, she later submitted another application in 2017 seeking the limitation of Robin’s custody of their child, accusing him of child abuse and domestic violence.
Patton also filed for a temporary restraining order (TRO) alleging that her former husband intentionally and willfully fabricated a court order stating custodial timeshare of their son. She was later awarded sole custody of Julian with supervised visitation for Thicke.
The couple however reached a custody arrangement in 2017. According to their agreement, Fuego was to stay at his father’s place from Mondays to Wednesdays while he moves to his mother’s place from Wednesday to Friday during school periods.

Sequel to Fuego’s parents’ divorce saga, 911 received a call from his nanny alleging that Robin had come to pick him up but the boy was crying and saying he wanted nothing to do with his dad. According to the nanny, Fuego was in the habit of crying profusely anytime he was aware that he would be visiting his dad.
Patton also subsequently accused Robin of physically abusing their son. Robin however strongly denied the claims saying he is not guilty of any wrongdoing.
