Sophie and Matthew have been married for almost a decade and still counting. While it’s difficult to assert the exact time they started dating, it’s been stated that first crossed paths in 2005. As the story goes, Sophie had gone to Clapham, London to visit her best friend Emily who was coincidentally Matthew’s neighbor.
The British actor recalled that she was sitting at his doorstep when he returned from filming in Poland. While they didn’t really get talking at the time, the pair met again during Emily’s wedding and soon became friends.
Later, they started dating and even cohabiting for several years before getting married in 2014. Sophie and Matthew opted for a private wedding ceremony which was held in the groom’s sister’s garden in South East England and attended by a few friends and family members.
