Miranda Rijnsburger is a former Spanish model and the wife of the popular Spanish musician Julio Iglesias. Her husband is widely known as the most successful continental European singer. Iglesias is also a songwriter and also a former professional footballer.

The couple first met back in 1990 shortly after Miranda had lost her father. She was working as a model in Indonesia when she met the Spanish singer in the airport. Miranda was only 24 years old while he was 46. The former Dutch model moved in with him in his villa in Indian Creek in Miami six months after they both met and started dating.
After being together for nearly two decades, Miranda Rijnsburger married Julio Iglesias in the Virgen Del Carmen Church in the jet-set resort city of Marbella in southern Spain in 2010.

The Spanish singer Iglesias, married his first wife Isabel Preysler on 29 January 1971. Isabel was working as a Filipina television host at that time. She was a member of the wealthy and aristocratic Perez de Tagle family.
Their marriage ended in divorce in 1979. It was later annulled by the Catholic Church in 1980.
Miranda has five children while her husband has eight
Miranda and her husband welcomed their first son Miguel Alejandro in 1997, their second son Rodrigo was born in 1999 while their twins Victoria and Cristina were born in 2001. In 2007, the couple welcomed another son named Guillermo.

1. She was raised in a houseboat in Leimuiden
The former model was born on October 5, 1965, in Leimuiden, the Netherlands to her parents Wim and Paula Rijnsburger. She and her younger sister Anita grew up on a houseboat in their native town Leimuiden which was a town of 4,000 people only.
After elementary school, she attended an institution at Alphen aan den Rijn. She revealed she used to cycle 11 kilometers then to go to school. After high school, she enrolled for an executive secretarial course which later helped her secure a job in a computer company.
On April 7, 2020, Miranda lost her mother after she had battled with a long illness.
2. Miranda Rijnsburger was a model for only a year
Miranda Rijnsburger decided to go on vacation for a few weeks after her father, Wim Rijnsburger, a crane operator working for the government of the Dutch province of Leiden died of a brain tumor at the age of 48.
While she was on the Island of Saint Lucia, a Canadian photographer was also there making a catalog of swimwear and he persuaded her to strike a pose. After that, he continued calling her to try her luck as a model. Miranda then quit her job at a headhunting company in Holland and went to Canada to pursue a career in modeling.
During an interview, the Spanish singer’s wife revealed that she was a model only for a year.
3. Miranda Rijnsburger is the administrator of Bellevue Costa Sol SA
Rijnsburger and her husband are both owners of the company that manages the property Androselmo SL and Bellevue Costa del Sol SA. Miranda has a farm called Dos Lunas in the town of Ojen. It is said that she spends so much time on the farm any time she is in the town.
According to reports, Miranda is one hundred percent shareholder of the company that manages the property. She is also the administrator of Bellevue Costa Sol SA. The company has its headquarters in Madrid.

4. Her husband was involved in a paternity dispute
According to reports, Julio Iglesisas became involved in a paternity dispute after he refused to take a DNA test to know if he fathered Maria Edite Santos’s son Javier Sanchez-Santos in 1976.
Sanchez had been pursuing the paternity suit since 1992. He claimed he was conceived after his mother had an affair with Iglesisas. The former refused to undergo a paternity test so Sanchez’s legal team got a DNA sample from a bottle of water that was used by the singer’s son.
The DNA claim was rejected but the case was ruled in favor of Sanchez by the presiding judge, Jose Miguel Bort. Iglesisas later appealed the verdict and the Provincial Court of Valencia reversed judge Bort’s ruling.
In April 2021, the case was taken to the Supreme Court. The court dismissed the claims made by Sanchez.
5. How rich is the Leimuiden native?
The 58– year Leimuiden native old runs a company that is reportedly worth $5.5 million and another that has assets that are said to be worth 4.6 million euros. Her own net worth has not been provided yet however that of her husband (80) is said to be almost $600 million as of November 2021.
