According to Essence, the pair first met in Santa Monica by chance. Lance revealed that on the day they first saw each other, they kept crossing paths and at one point, he decided to ask her if he could take her to dinner, and the rest they say is history.
The couple dated for a while before the House of Payne actor asked Jefferson to be his wife. He revealed he popped the question during a couple’s trip to Cabo for New Year’s with their friends in 2013.
