Linger has said she met Nick at a 1983 party in her hometown of Charleston. Becky who is a doctor’s daughter and previous model said she abandoned her job and her father’s house to live with Nick immediately after they started dating. She also said she began staying with the actor at the point he was shooting the movie The Ultimate Solution (1985) in New York.
Linger noted that her decision to be with Nolte made her family worried but she insisted. Her ex-husband married her when she was five months pregnant in Lake Tahoe and their union greatly helped Nick with his drinking habit.

Rebecca Linger Reportedly Housed Her Ex-Husband After His House was Wrecked by Fire
In October 2008, Nick Nolton reportedly moved in with his ex-wife after escaping the fire that gutted his residence in Califonia.
The fire which was confined mainly to his living room was said to have left him with minor injuries and destroyed items worth £1.08 million. He was also said to have suffered smoke inhalation and minor abrasions in the fire which was caused by an electrical fault.
At the time of the fire incident, Notle’s 2-month-old daughter with wife his wife Clytie Lane whom he married in 2016 was not at home.
The actor allegedly had to make do with Linger’s home because it was the nearest safe harbor for him and his son Brawly.
