Sara Dey-Hirshan is another product of a celebrity union between Susan Dey and Leonard Hirshan. Like her parents, Sara set herself on a career path as an actress when she appeared in the 2009 movie titled Danger Island. While the celebrity sire could have carved her niche in the industry, her last known appearance was also in the same movie.
Her mother on the other hand remains a well-known actress, especially for her role in The Patridge Family.

Born in November 1978, Sarah Dey-Hirshan is from Los Angeles. She is the only child of Susan Dey and the second of Leonard ‘Lenny’ Hirshan’s two children. Details about her childhood remain vague, yet her mother’s early life started when she was just 17. As the story goes, her father was a newspaper editor while her mother was a nurse who sadly passed on when Susan Dey was only 8 years old.

Her father, Leonard invested over sixty years as a talent manager until his death on January 31, 2014, at the age of 86. The cause of Lenny’s death is as a result of Merkel cell carcinoma, a form of skin cancer. At his death, he had helped to build some of the big names in Hollywood. Among these are Clint Eastwood, Edward G Robinson, Sophia Loren, and Elvis Presley among many others.
The Danger Island Star’s Father and Mother Divorced After about 5 Years of Marriage
Sara Dey’s parents were married for five years before they divorced in 1981. While the real cause of Susan Deys and Lenny Hirshan’s divorce is not known both moved on with their lives.
Sara’s mother got married to the producer, Bernard Sofronski in 1988. Bernard was married to Myra Phyllis Tamarkin whom they had two children before their divorce in 1984. As it is both Susan Dey and Bernard are still together after more than three decades. The couple now lives in New York. They do not have any biological children together.
Sara Dey Hirshan Is Now An Acrobatic Dancer
Having disappeared from the screen radar for over a decade, Susan Dey’s daughter is now an acrobatic dancer. She performs with a feminist group called LAVA.
Apparently, the group made its debut in 1998 and has gained wide coverage on platforms ranging from Newsweek, New York Times, and Wall Street Journal. Moving on, Sara tours around the country and internationally to promote dance, and push the boundaries of gravity and gender expectation with other members of the group.
Sara performs alongside other dancers such as Molly Chanoff, Lollo Romanski, Hilary Melcher, and many others. So far, they have done 16 major works such as A Goddessey which premiered in 2017. To its credit, LAVA is the recipient of Obie and Bessie awards which are well known for performers.
