Singa Gätgens is a presenter and actress who was born and raised in Hamburg. She has been part of the moderation team of the KIKA children’s television channel which was founded in 1997. At the age of eight, Singa was discovered as a child model at the ballet school. She got her first leading role in the ARD children’s TV series, Neues Vom Süderhof (News from the Süderhof). In Against the Wind and The Country Doctor, she has had other smaller roles.
She started appearing on television shows in 1997 after KiKA was founded. She was the first host at the launch of KiKA children’s TV channel. She was allowed to moderate several other live broadcasts and shows on KiKA. Some of them include Kummerkasten, Kikania, and Die Mit-Mach-Mühle.
Since she joined the children’s program of ARD and ZDF, she’s been a permanent member of the program.

Acting and moderating are not the only things the presenter is interested in. She is also a sports enthusiast. She specifically has a passion for ice hockey which is why she co-founded her own club the Hamburg-Mammuts.
In addition to that, Singa Gätgens works out a lot and also gives out courses as a trainer.
Over the years, the Hamburg native has been involved in the Make Children Strong initiative. The program is aimed at helping people live a life without addiction and drugs.

Apparently, the actress has been married to a master mechanical engineer, Olaf Meyer for several years now. Her husband has a company in Schenefeld. Reports say they have been married for almost a decade now but have not welcomed any child yet.
While she’s still expecting her own children, Singa has revealed she likes to spend a lot of time with her niece.
