3. Sylver Gregory Performed In Welcome To Our City
The Fort-de-France born actress had a role in the Mint Theatre revamped play Welcome To Our City based on Thomas Wolfe’s book of the same name. The play was directed by Jonathan Bank between September to October of 2000. Mint Theatre prides itself in the remake of long-forgotten plays and other art works.
Her role as Annie Johnson is as historical as important to the work of an author whose work only became successful after his death. Other cast members in the play include Michael LiDonci and Haakon Jepson among many others.
The original plot of the book explores the theme of greed in the southern part of the United States in the 1920s yet the work remained dormant for 50 years after the work was abandoned by its author.
4. She Featured In The Same Sitcom As The Dead Actress Naya Rivera
The child actress remains a favorite of fans of the 80/90s sitcom The Royal Family. Interestingly, she appeared on the same show as the Glee and Step Up actress, Naya Rivera. In The Royal Family, Rivera was Sylver’s character’s younger sister. Both actresses also appeared on Family Matters. While Sylver’s adult life is still obscure, her former cast member enjoyed a successful career after The Royal Family but later died under tragic circumstances.
Reportedly, Naya Rivera died in a swimming accident at Lake Piru in 2020. The former child actress had gone on a boating trip with her then four-year-old son, Josey Dorsey, and never returned. Official records state the cause of her death to be drowning.
Notably, she may have died trying to save her son who was found by the authorities on their rented boat. Sadly, Rivera despite her zeal for life died at the prime age of 33 leaving behind her son whom she had with her ex-husband, Ryan Dorsey.
