Around that same period, the American Pickers star posted a Facebook post insinuating that he had a daughter and granddaughter.
What Happened Between Him and Diann Bankson?
Fritz, born on October 11, 1965, and Diann reportedly had a serious relationship in 2016. They were allegedly engaged in 2017 and lived together in his house in Iowa Farmhouse.
Around that time, sources reported that the couple might have tied the knot. This started after Frank share a long-deleted picture of Diann and her daughter and granddaughter. He referred to the baby as his granddaughter so many thought he was a grandpa already.
After being together for a while, Bankson sued him for being unfaithful in November 2018 after she allegedly caught him in the act. The rumors later died off and the pair continued their relationship.
According to reports, she later terminated the lawsuit. The relationship came to a tumultuous end sometime in 2019.
Later on, Bankson again claimed to have third-degree burns due to Frank’s negligence. She also claimed that her then-boyfriend and his friends caused the fire. With that, she pushed for a $50,000 lawsuit claiming the accident caused her mental and emotional distress as well as severe physical repercussions.
Other sources claimed Frank also made some accusations as well. He said Diann cheated on him while he was on the road. He added that for that reason, he got a tattoo that says “once a cheater always a cheater”.
Besides blaming his ex-girlfriend for their breakup, the 58-year-old American reality TV star also blamed his drinking problem on Diann.

Frank Fritz checked into a rehabilitation center after his relationship with Diann Bankson ended
After the relationship ended, Frank stated that their split made him begin to drink more than usual. He eventually checked into a rehabilitation center and after months of being sober, he became a better person. He even revealed that if he had done it before now, he would have been a different person.
On her own part, Diann denied all his accusations claiming he only wanted to act like he was the victim.
Frank Fritz Suffered a Stroke in 2022
Frank Fritz was last seen on the American Pickers show in March 2020. However, he later stepped away in other to deal with health problems such as back surgery and battling Chron’s disease.
Also, his former co-star Mike Wolfe issued a statement requesting Frank’s fans to pray for him. Reports say court papers said due to his sickness, Frank Fritz’s decision-making capacity is impaired and he is unable to care for himself as well as provide some basic necessities for himself after he suffered a stroke in 2022.
Following his recovery in a nursing facility, the American Pickers alum returned to his Iowa home. Before he got home, he had a new wheelchair ramp that was built for his 155,000 Iowa farmhouse.
The wheelchair ramp would help him move around in and out of his home. While he is still recuperating, his fans are expecting him to return to American Pickers. Regardless of that, sources close to the antique collector reveal the most important thing is for the host to recover fully.
Far from his health challenges making headlines, nothing has been heard of his love life since he parted ways with Diann Bankson. As for the latter, it is speculated that she has a new lover.
