Jamie White is a former American model who was married to Smallville actor, Tom Welling for over a decade. Before, during, and after her marriage to the American actor, she engaged in a couple of dressage activities.
White’s marriage to Tom bore no offspring for the couple still their divorce saw the former model smiling to the bank with a juicy spousal support settlement from the Lucifer actor.
Jamie White was a Model when She Met Tom Welling
Tom Welling met his ex-wife in a coffee shop while she was still working as a model, in Miami. She has been described as a supermodel by a lot of sources despite not being as renowned as most of the supermodels known back then.
At the same time, Jamie White’s now, ex-husband was just starting off as an actor in the entertainment industry.
They met sometime in 1998 and dated for about 5 years before they finally got married on July 5, 2002. Their wedding took place in New York at Martha’s Vineyard. However, with Tom’s role as Clark Kent in Smallville, the couple moved away from the Big Apple to Vancouver. They resided there for a couple of years before moving back to Los Angeles in March 2011 after the show had ended.
Through their marriage, the 55-year-old remained very low-key safe for her occasional appearances on red carpet events with her husband.
Tom Welling’s Ex-wife Got a Lot of Money from their Divorce
The seemingly happy couple’s marriage, unfortunately, came crumbling in 2013. Jamie White Welling filed for divorce from her actor husband on October 17, 2013, citing ‘irreconcilable difference’. The proceedings for the divorce however tarried for about 2 years.
In 2015, the divorce was finalized and the Tom Welling was legally separated from his wife of 10 years plus. Through these years of marriage, the couple never had any kids together.
From the agreement during the divorce proceedings, Jamie White was going away with a lot from Welling. Despite not having kids and the elimination of the payment of child support, Tom still had to chalk out money for his ex-wife.
The former model was entitled to spousal support for 5 years but with no fixed amount. This unusual settlement would see the Cheaper by the Dozen actor, Tom Welling’s ex-wife getting 20% of the actor’s net professional income.
The only clause to this settlement stated that whatever Tom Welling earns which is north of $5m annually would be his alone. He wasn’t obligated to give White anything from that.
Another interesting part of the settlement is the fact that White got to keep the horse farm they both owned. The Draft Day actor was left with just Tomahawk, a horse they bought together.
Did Jamie White Remarry?
Just like she was before and even during her marriage to the celebrity actor, Jamie White has somewhat avoided the media.
After the divorce, she most likely went on to focus on something else seeing that her modeling days were way behind her.
Jamie White’s ex-husband, on the other hand, moved on swiftly. He got married to an equestrian lifestyle brand owner, Jessica Rose Lee, on November 30, 2019. The wedding took place at Sunstone Vineyards & Winery, San Ynez, California.
Rumor has it that Tom and Jessica started seeing and became intimate in 2014 but kept it a secret because Welling was still legally with White.
The same year Tom and Jessica got married, they welcomed a child together. On January 5, 2019, their son named Thomson Wylde Welling was born.
On June 3, 2021, the couple then again welcomed an addition to their family with the birth of their second son. Rocklin Welling is the name of Tom Welling’s second son with Jessica Welling.
Jamie White’s Marriage to Tom Welling is Different from the Actor’s Second Marriage
The actor stated that there are differences between his first and second marriages. While his first wife was older than him about 9 years, Tom Welling is older than his second wife about 10 years.
Another important difference is the fact that the actor felt lonely while with his first wife. According to Welling, he felt lonely while shooting Smallville and that was when he was married to Jamie White.
With Jessica though, he didn’t feel the same way as she and their sons always keeps him occupied and happy. He also admitted that he misses them when he’s away from home.

Jamie White and Tom Welling share a love for horses and stables. They even bought a horse farm while they were together. She is a dressage rider as per a Twitter account believed to have belonged to her.
Jamie’s love for horses has seen her owning a couple of horses like the Tomahawk which she had to leave with her ex-husband.
White is also the owner of Wilkin which she bought from Derek Huget in 2010.
Her love for dressage has made her quite wealthy as well. The former model used to bet on horses and has won quite a fortune from selling and horse betting.
In November 2011, White together with her ex-husband won the highest bid for Tight Junction, a stallion that was the top-selling horse that day.
Together with her assistant and trainer, Marcus Gribbe, Jamie won the bid for the horse at 800,000 euros. The horse would go on to be trained by Gribbe.
In March 2017, Welling’s ex-wife’s horse won the Oldenburg Saddle Licensing.
