Justine Maurer is an American actress and production assistant. She has been married to John Leguizamo since June 2003 and they have two children: Allegra and Lucas.
John Leguizamo’s wife has worked behind the scenes on projects such as The Shadow (1994), and the 2023 White House Correspondents’ Dinner (2023). Besides supporting her husband’s acting career, Justine now works as an estate planner.

Justine Maurer was born on May 8, 1968, to Jack and Rona Maurer. Her parents, who are both migrants raised her and her sister, Nicole St. John in a tight knitted family. Maurer also has a stepsister named Lisa Bishop.
While she was growing up, her father used to work as an executive at financial research and consulting firm.
She Has Been Married to John Leguizamo Since 2003
Apparently, Justine and her husband met while on the set of the 1993 movie Carlito’s Way. The former played a cameo role of a customer while the former acted as Benny Blanco in the film.
However, Leguizamo was still married to his first wife, Yelba Osorio, at that time so there was nothing between them until his marriage ended in November 1996.
Maurer and Leguizamo started dating in 1997 and two years later, they welcomed their first child, daughter Allegra Sky Leguizamo.
The following year, the family expanded yet again as Maurer delivered a son named Ryder Lee Lucas Leguizamo. Six years later, the parents of two tied the knot on June 28, 2003, in an intimate ceremony at their lakefront home in New York.
The wedding was described as a Catholic-Jewish one due to the fact that Justine is Jewish while John, a Catholic. Her daughter, Allegra served as the flower girl while her brother Lucas was the ring bearer.

Justine Maurer’s daughter decided to follow in the footsteps of her father. Allegra is also building a career in acting and has starred in a couple of short films like Lockdown. Her husband on the hand has starred in over 100 movies and has produced not less than 20 so far. He has been nominated for four Primetime Emmy Awards and has won one for his role in Freak (1999).
The mother of two is more interested in maintaining the homefront than pursuing a career in the entertainment industry. In addition to the cameo role she had in the 1990s, there are speculations that she has worked behind the camera as a production assistant in films like The Shadow (1994), and the 2023 White House Correspondents’ Dinner (2023).

Justine Maurer’s Parents Were Engaged in a Legal Battle
According to reports, in 2015, Maurer’s father, Jack sued her mother, Rona for allegedly influencing him to re-organize his estate plans in her favor. He also added that she misled him to sign documents that put her in charge of the San Remo apartment as well as his Hamptons home.
Interestingly, her parents were still married at the time of the lawsuit, in fact, they remained married until Jack passed in 2005 at the age of 86. Following his death, his daughter from his first marriage, Lisa Bishop continued the legal action in Manhattan’s Surrogate’s Court.
Justine’s mother was later accused of covering up a $17 million rise sale in the property in which she was supposed to share 50% of profits with Lisa.
