Kathleen McCrone is an American civil and criminal litigation lawyer who has been married to Wayne Newton since 1994. The North Olmsted native and her famous husband have a daughter, Lauren together (born in 2002).
Following her marriage to Wayne Newton also called Mr. Las Vegas, Kathleen came into the spotlight, however not as an entertainer but as a lawyer. Her husband, on the other hand, made a name for himself as one of the most renowned singers in the nation in the late 20th century. Some of his famous songs include Danke Schoen (1963), Summer Wind (1965), Red Roses for a Blue Lady (1965), and Daddy, Don’t You Walk So Fast (1972).

Kathleen McCrone was born on 21 April 1964 to her parents William J. McCrone and Marilyn Furman. She was raised alongside her two sisters, Mary McCrone, and Patricia ‘Tricia’ Clift McCrone in North Olmsted.
Her father was a federal judge at the Cuyahoga Court of Common Pleas and Rocky River Municipal Court. Judge McCrone died of cancer at the age of 54 on November 11 1987 in Ohio.
Kathleen McCrone’s father was famous for advocating for the use of cameras in the courtroom. Also, he ran unsuccessfully for State Representative in 1960, Common Pleas Judge in 1968 and 1970. He was also a member of several organizations including the Municipal Judges Association of Northern Ohio and the American Judicature Association before he passed.
Her sister, Mary Collen McCrone was found dead on December 26, 2009 at her home in Sherman Oaks, California at the age of 46. She died as a result of heart failure.
Mary was known mostly for her work with Channel 8 and WEWS Channel 5. She also produced quite a number of shows in Florida and New York, including MTV’s Rock the Vote.
Kathleen’s sister won a dozen Emmy awards and also a national riding trophy. She has also worked with Kathleen’s husband, Wayne Newton, and her ex-husband Michael Stanley.

The 60-year-old lawyer married Newton on April 9, 1994, at the singer’s estate, Casa de Shenandoah in the presence of many high-profile celebrities and family. Reports say they first met backstage at a Las Vegas event where Newton was performing in 1990.
Their only child, Lauren, was born in 2002. There are reports that the couple had their daughter through a surrogate mother, whose identity is unknown.
However, Kathleen is not the first wife of the Summer Wind singer. Newton was previously married to Elaine Okamura. Before they divorced in 1985, they adopted a daughter, Erin.
