Linda Gibb and Barry Gibb Have Been Married for Over Half a Century
From 1970 until this time is indeed a long time and the couple, Linda and Barry have spent all these years together. As the story goes, the pair first sometime in the 60s when Linda was still working with BBC. At the time, her now husband had gone to visit the BBC set where she was serving as a hostess and this coincided with the Top of the Pop show which the Bee Gees were a part of.
According to Linda’s husband, it was an instant connection for him and they soon became friends and later started dating. A few years later precisely, on September 1, 1970, Linda walked down the aisle with Barry as his second wife. This was two months after his divorce from Maureen was finalized.
Apparently, the pair have been together for 53 years and still counting. They were once speculated to have parted ways however, to the best of our knowledge they are still together and their marriage has been free from controversies. Barry commended him for being with him through thick and thin and even called her a “tower of strength”.
The secret to their successful marriage is staying loyal. Barry revealed that they had to turn down proposals from other people and remain true to their love. He recalled a time when the Australian tennis player, Evonne Goolagong tried to make a move on him but he turned her down. The musician also revealed that his wife has had offers too as Steve McQueen once tried to snatch his wife from him.

The Couple are Parents of 5 Children
Linda and Barry are proud parents of 5 children. Their first son Stephen Gibb, 50, was born in 1973, three years after his parent’s marriage. Four years later, the pair welcomed their daughter Ashley Gibb and she’s 46 years old at the moment.
The third child of the couple Travis Gibb, 42, was born in 1981 and the fourth, Micheal Gibb, 39, was born in 1984. Six years later, the youngest child of the family, Alexandra Gibb, 32, was added to the family.

At the moment, Linda and Barry are aging beautifully and living in the United States. They also get occupied with their responsibilities as grandparents to their 7 grandchildren.
