While she was still married to the basketball player, Amy Duncan served as the executive vice president of the Tim Duncan Foundation. The foundation has helped raise funds and awareness for quite a number of good courses.

Amy Duncan was born Amy Sherrill in North Carolina in 1977 to Judy and Fred Sherrill. According to reports, Tim Duncan’s wife was raised with no siblings.
She attended a local high school for her high school education after which she joined Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem for a bachelor’s degree.

The former couple met while they were both studying at Wake Forest University. Tim was on the basketball team while Amy was a cheerleader. Tim later graduated in 1997 and was the first overall pick in the NBA draft. Reports say they started dating in 1992 but tied the knot on 21st July 2001.
The pair welcomed their first child, Sydney in the summer of 2005 while their son Draven was born in 2007.

The Former Couple Had a Messy Divorce
The college sweethearts remained married for twelve years until Amy filed for divorce on March 27, 2013, to which Tim Duncan reportedly responded with a counterpetition.
The mother of two revealed in the divorce petition that the marriage was insupportable due to a lack of agreement between the former couple.
On his own part, Tim Duncan filed legal docs asking the judge to hold on with the marriage dissolution because his team San Antonio Spurs was about to clinch the NBA championship at that time.
Furthermore, the former San Antonio Spurs player revealed he had a prenup that he wanted to enforce.
Notwithstanding, the case was later settled out of court.

As regards their divorce, the actual reason still remains a mystery. However, reports say that Tim Duncan claimed Amy cheated on him with her personal trainer.
Tim Duncan even hired a private investigator after he suspected that his then-wife was having an affair. On her part has claimed that the former basketballer was bisexual and has been sleeping with his best friend for several years before she caught them.
Amy further claimed that her ex-husband’s lived with them during the first two years of their marriage before Tim bought him a condo.

Upon finishing college, Amy Sherrill as she is also known, helped her former partner to establish the foundation in 2001. Amy’s ex-husband revealed he got his inspiration from his late mother, Ione.
The foundation was to fund programs involving health awareness and research, education, youth sports, and recreation in San Antonio and a couple of places.
Some of the major events the foundation partook in included the Tim Duncan Bowling for Dollar$ CharityBowl-A-Thon and also Slam Duncan Charity Golf Classic.
The Foundation was also able to raise more than $350,000 for breast and prostate cancer research between 2001 and 2002.

Following the divorce and all that surrounded it, Amy Duncan went off the radar to focus on her kids and her life. There is no information as to whether she remarried or dated someone ever since.
However, her ex-husband went on to have a relationship with the former host of Great Day San Antonio on CBS, Vanessa Macias. There are claims that they started dating in 2013 shortly after the divorce.
In 2017, the pair went on to welcome their first child together. The couple is now engaged and is raising their daughter together.
