Rene-Charles Angelil
On January 25, 2001, in West Palm Beach, Florida, Celine and Rene Angelil welcomed Rene-Charles. Immediately after, his birth was publicized on television. He is the couple’s first kid, having been born following his mother’s two operations, and several months of infertility treatment.
He made his career debut in 2018, he has released a few songs with titles like “Never Stop,” “The Apple and The Kid,” and “Catwalks,” to name a few. Surprisingly, that same year, he rose to the top of the R&B charts on Soundcloud using the alias “Big Tip.”
Despite having a different musical taste from his mother, he is succeeding in the rap industry and even released an album called “CasiNo.5” in 2021.
Meanwhile, in addition to sharing a name with his father, he also enjoys playing poker, hockey, and golf, his father’s favorite games.
He has been seen playing golf for a while and has even tried to teach his younger brothers the game. Rene-Charles nearly turned pro while playing hockey with the Nevada Storm squad. Additionally, the hockey player holds poker nights at his residence.
Edward and Nelson Angelil
Dion’s twin boys Edward and Nelson Angelil were conceived after a sixth treatment of in vitro fertilization on their mother. Born on October 23, 2010, through Caesarean section at St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Florida, they were received as fraternal twins.
Dion gave the boys the names of her favorite French musician, Eddy Marnay, and Nelson Mandela, the former president of South Africa, whom she met in 2008 while on her world tour.
Edward and Nelson have not yet expressed any interest in a career route, unlike their older brother Rene-Charles Angelil. However, they are known to be fluent in English and French just like their mother.

Other Information Regarding Celine Dion’s Kids
1. Her First Son is also an Actor
Apart from singing, Rene-Charles Angelil is also an actor in his own right. He has notably appeared in Celine: Through the Eyes of the World. The documentary–concert film was released in 2010 and it chronicles the life of his mother.
2. The Children of Celine Dion Have Three Elder Stepsiblings
Prior to Angélil’s marriage to Celine, he had 3 children from his previous marriages to Denyse Duquette and Anne Renée respectively. His children namely Patrick (born 1968), Jean-Pierre (born 1974), and Anne-Marie Angélil (born 1977) became the older step-siblings of Rene-Charles, Eddy, and Nelson.
3. They Share a Special Bond with their Mother
Although Celine is known for being career-driven, her children will always come first in her eyes. Even more so, she frequently appears in photos enjoying quality time with her family. More specifically, the singer of “My Heart Will Go On” used to attend her son’s hockey games to support and encourage him.
4. Their Mother Came From a Poor Background
Celine Dion was born in a poor home in Charlemagne, Quebec as the youngest of 14 children of Thérèse a homemaker, and Adhémar Dion and a butcher, both of French descent. Dion grew up sharing a bed and wearing hand-me-downs as the youngest of 14 kids. She didn’t have a crib as a baby, so she slept in a drawer. Because of her thin body and gaping fangs, she was ridiculed at school and branded a “Vampire.”
5. The Boys Lost their Father in 2016
The father of Rene-Charles, Eddy, and Nelson received his initial throat cancer diagnosis in 1999. Later, in December 2013, he underwent surgery for throat cancer. Angélil left his position as Dion’s manager in June 2014 to concentrate on his health, but he continued to be involved in her career-related business decisions. Angélil’s disease had advanced, and Dion declared that he only had “months to live” in September 2015. Two days before turning 74, on January 14, 2016, Angélil passed away from throat cancer. On January 22, he was given a “national funeral” service at Notre-Dame Basilica by the Quebec government, and he was laid to rest at the Notre Dame des Neiges Cemetery.
At the time of his death, Rene-Charles Angelil was 15 years old while Eddy and Nelson were only 5 years old.
