Jeanette Adair Bradshaw and Morgan Freeman were married for more than a decade. She got married to him on 22nd October 1967 and later divorced him on 18th November 1979 after 12 years. The reason behind the divorce was not unconnected to Freeman’s alleged extra-marital affairs as claimed by several media sources.

During Lamar’s trial, he asserted that Bradshaw’s granddaughter was having a sexual relationship with Morgan who adopted and raised her as his granddaughter together with his then second wife, Myrna. The boyfriend killed her because he was unhappy and angry with what was allegedly going on between the two.
On the other hand, both Bradshaw’s grandaughter and Morgan Freeman denied the claims. E’dena while still alive asserted that the stories about her and her grandfather were not true and are hurting her and her family.
