1. He is 33 Years Old
Adrian Michael Joseph was born on September 29, 1991, in Pearland, Houston, Texas. He hails from an intimate African-American family of his parents and a brother.
Adrian’s father’s name is Cedric Joseph. He died a month before his 59th birthday. Cedric died aged 58 on January 5, 2017, after battling Lewy Body Dementia.
Sarah Joseph is the wife of the late Cedric and the mother of Adrian and his older brother. Sarah is a woman who is dedicated to her community and loves to serve the people however way possible. She was involved in the Houston Rockets Community Outreach and even received recognition for her work with the outreach.
Sarah wished for her son, Adrian, to take school seriously and even graduate with a doctorate. This didn’t happen but she was always so supportive of her son’s decisions.
2. He Used to Play Basketball
This sports career may have ended even before Adrian got into high school but there was something. The young man used to play basketball while he was still in elementary school. in fact, while in 7th grade, he was the 6th man for the B-team of his school.
It isn’t known why he didn’t pursue a career out of this. On one of his throwbacks, he had a hashtag that spelled ‘I Suck’ and then other times, he explained that he broke his foot while playing. Any of those and more could have thwarted a career on that path.
3. Adrian Michael Joseph Contested for American Idol
Years after the end of Adrian Michael Joseph’s sporting life, he took to singing. He stated that he has always had a thing for singing and so he took that to be his first love.
As a result, he entered for American Idols competition and was one of the contestants on the reality TV show. Many fans and followers of his then were quite impressed with his singing abilities.
His American Idol season was way before 2013. Joseph’s passion for singing further fueled Adrian to take steps into being a professional singer.
4. He Created his Band in 2018
Back in 2012, Adrian had his first singing gig which earned him money when he opened for Lil Flip at a restaurant in Pearland. Prior to and after that, he had some more gigs that earned him something every now and again.
Asides from making money off singing, Adrian benefitted more from the fact that he was doing what he loved. To put the cherry on top, his mother supported him and had no qualms with the fact that he wasn’t keen on pursuing a doctorate degree.
Years later, the Houston-born singer began to collaborate with his brother. They called themselves the Joseph Brothers or Brother Josephs.
Eventually, in 2018, Adrian founded the band named ‘Adrian Michael and the Greenway Band’ in Houston. The band consists of the lead singer, Adrian, and others who gave backup vocals and play instruments.
Adrian Michaels is also fluent in playing the guitar. He and his band are basically available for live shows at weddings and other occasions.
5. Adrian Michael Joseph and Nichelle Prince’s Relationship Started in 2017
Nichelle Prince is a Canadian professional soccer player who plays for the Canada Women’s national team. She also plays as a forward for the Houston Dash of the National Women’s Soccer League.
Her relationship with the professional musician dates back to 2017. This is when she began to feature in Adrian’s Instagram posts. They had their first date at Café Brasil, Montrose, and Adrian describes it as an ‘awkward first date’.
For Prince, it was the first and only date she had ever been on and it’s all thanks to a Bumble match. Being mostly around players and athletes did not afford her much time to meet other people. She also found Adrian’s musical career interesting and says she’s lucky to have matched with him.
Michael Joseph and his 29-year-old wife severally featured on each other’s social media since they started dating.
6. Adrian Proposed During a Gig
Prince and Joseph dated for 4 years before Adrian finally proposed to the soccer player on August 29, 2021. The proposal happened at a gig Prince’s boyfriend was performing.
It eventually led to Adrian Michael serenading his girlfriend with a heartwarming song which she blushed to.
The song was one he composed for her on their first anniversary. The entire proposal was planned in such a way that Nichelle’s mother was there with her sister and Michael’s family.
A year later, on December 10, 2022, they got married in Texas. Their guest invites were 250 people.
Adrian and Nichelle’s honeymoon location was at Snoh Aalegra.
7. He has Been One of Nichelle’s Top Cheerleaders
Adrian may not have had a sporting career but he isn’t fazed by his wife’s. In fact, he enjoys the attention that comes from being the spouse of a famous person. This he stated when he shared an excerpt from Houston Chron magazine celebrating Houston Athletes and their Spouses.
Also, Adrian isn’t one to miss his wife’s games. Not now that they are married and not even when they were still dating.
