Louise Stratten is a Canadian actress and producer who is famed as the half-sister of the playboy model, Dorothy Stratten and the ex-wife of the late movie director and writer, Peter Bogdanovich. The pair got married in 1988 after a series of events but separated in 2001.

Louise Stratten was born on May 8, 1968, and she’s 56 years old at the moment. From the records she was raised in Vancouver, Canada under social assistance as her mother Peternella (Nelly) Schapp Fuchs got pregnant while working as a housekeeper but later trained to become a nurse.
Louise was later catered for by her stepfather Simon Hoogstraten and grew alongside of her half-siblings, Dorothy Hoogstraten and John Arthur Hoogstraten.

While it’s unknown if Louise had any formal training in art school, we garnered that she pursued a career in the entertainment industry. She made her debut in the 1987 film Illegally Yours and later appeared in several TV series.
Later, she earned roles in films such as She’s Funny That Way (2014), City Island (2009), Django Unchained (2012), It: Chapter Two (2019), Irene In Time (2009), and Ninja Cheerleaders (2008).
As a producer, she has credits for her work in films like Noises Of, The Great Buster and She’s Funny That Way which starred high-profile celebrities like Owen Wilson.
She was married to Peter Bogdanovich For 12 Years
Louise Stratten and Peter Bogdanovich were married for over a decade. However, before she became his wife, she was first known as the half-sister of his then-girlfriend, Dorothy who was a playboy model and wife of the photographer, Paul Snider.
Dorathy’s husband found out about their relationship and ended things in the most gruesome way. He demanded a meeting to discuss their divorce and when they were alone he raped her and later shot her in the head. Afterward, he committed suicide.
Following the ugly twist, Bogdanovich decided to marry Dorathy’s half-sister, Louise who was only 20 years old at the time, while he was 49. Their relationship was frowned upon because of the age gap between them.
Louise’s mother also stated that Bogdanovich was probably feeling guilty about Dorathy’s death since he was her lover and wanted to make it up somehow. She also questioned his love for Louise as he had previously loved her half-sister, Dorothy.
Disregarding and forgoing, the pair dated for a while and later got married in a private ceremony held in Vancouver, Canada. Louise and Bogdanovich spent 12 years together before they got divorced in 2001 citing irreconcilable differences.
However, Louise’s ex-husband revealed that his ex-wife Louise was only 20 years old when they got married and needed to see the world from a different view. Nonetheless, he stated that he was still in love with her and wasn’t ready for any other relationship.
While Bogdanovich was Louise’s first husband, she was his third wife. He was previously married to the film producer, production designer, and screenwriter Polly Platt. She was also the mother of his two children Antonia and Sashy. Later he remarried his second wife, Cybill Shepherd.
