Zoltan Anthony Hargitay was born in Santa Monica, California, on August 1, 1960, to Mickey Hargitay and Jayne Mansfield. He is currently 64 years old.
Hargitay has two full siblings: an elder brother, Mickey Hargitay Jr., and a younger sister, Mariska Hargitay, who, like her parents, is an actress. He also has three half-siblings from his parents’ previous marriages. Tina Hargitay is from his father’s first marriage to Mary Birge, and Jayne Marie Mansfield and Tony Cimber are from his mother’s second and third marriages to Paul Mansfield and Matt Cimber, respectively.

According to both profiles, he has been working since 2002. Given this, it is possible he is more involved in the movie production process.
