Lexington Grace Bruening is the first child of actors Justin Bruening and Alexa Havins. Despite the fame of her parents, the 14-year-old has been shielded from the spotlight for most of her life.
Lexington Grace’s parents are known for being co-actors in the soap opera All My Children. From this on-set meet, the couple became friends, started a relationship, got married, and bore Lexington and her 2 younger siblings.

Justin Bruening and his wife met while shooting the soap opera All My Children. The now-couple were then co-actors in the soap as Justin played the role of Jamie Martins while Alexa played the character known as Babe Carey Chandler.
Given how strong their connection had gotten on the set of the soap opera that started filming in 2003, Justin thought it a brilliant idea to propose to Lexington’s mother on set.
In the soap, Justin and Alexa’s characters were love interests and Jamie proposed to his on-screen girlfriend, Babe.
Lexington Grace’s father seized that opportunity to also propose, in real life, to his off-screen lover, Alexa. He planned the proposal perfectly to coincide with the filming of the on-screen proposal.
On June 5, 2005, the couple got married in a private ceremony.
Grace Bruening’s parents also co-starred in several other series and movies including CSI: Miami and NY, Grey’s Anatomy, and Fat Girl.

Lexington Grace Bruening was born on August 10, 2010, and as of August 2023, she turns 14 years. She was born 2 months after her parents celebrated their 5th anniversary as a married couple.
When she was about 3 years old, Grace’s parents welcomed another child to their family. Zane Bruening, her only male sibling, was born in 2013 and is 11 years old.
In 2015, Alexa and Justin birthed their 3rd and so far, last child. The girl whose name is yet to be revealed was born in December 2015 and would turn 8 years old in December this year.
Lexington and her siblings all lead normal lives according to Havins-Bruening. She and her husband try to shield Lexington Grace Bruening and her siblings from the world of fame and stardom.
Given that Grace’s parents are not avid social media users and Alexa isn’t even on social media, it has been easy for them to keep their family lives private.

According to the How to Seduce a Difficult Woman actress, she and her husband juggle between being with the children. She stated in an interview that she turned down many movie roles because her husband was unavailable and she couldn’t leave her children. Havins declared that when her husband isn’t working, then she has the time to work because he would be home with the children and she wouldn’t have to worry about them.

Is Lexington Grace Bruening a Child Actor?
No, she’s not. Her parents wouldn’t expose her to that life just yet. She is still quite young to experience the hustle and bustle of Hollywood and the entire American entertainment industry.
Lexington’s parents would not mind a few, short roles here and there but nothing serious for now.
When the 3 Bruening children are grown and of age, they can choose to tow the path of acting, and, neither Alexa Havins nor her husband, the Sweet Magnolias actor would influence their choices or decisions.
Lexington Grace Bruening’s mother admitted that she would definitely support her children if they decide to become actors. Grace’s maternal grandparents were in support of her mother’s entertainment career from a young age.
It is important to note that Alexa began to entertain people at the age of 3. By the time she was 5 years, she was already performing with jazz groups. Later on, she made the switch to acting.
For Lexington’s father, Justin’s career began as a model after graduating from high school. He was discovered by Sue Nessel at McDonald’s, in Escondido. Soon after, he took acting classes and began to audition for roles.
