Linda Staab is an American model and actress known for the 1972 movie ‘The Protectors’ and Tattletales which was released in 1974. She was born in the year 1943 and is about 78 years old as of 2021.
Staab was a great actress although she doesn’t get as much recognition for it. However, she got popular for her marriage to Robert Vaughn who is also an actor noted for his works in television, theatre, and film.

1. Linda And Robert Met During The Filming Of A Series
Linda and Robert met in 1973 during the filming of ‘The Protectors’ series. The episode ‘It Could Be Practically Anywhere On The Island’ was directed by Robert and he also played the lead role. He was the lead actor and had Linda as the lead actress of the episode as well.
We could say that they had an on-set romance that developed into something more serious, hence they started dating. Robert and Linda got married a year later, in 1974. Their wedding was held on the 29th of June 1974 at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Beverly Hill, California.
2. Vaughn And Natalie Wood’s Relationship
Robert and Natalie Wood met sometime in the 1950s/60s. He was out in Los Angeles for a play after leaving college when he met the woman who made his heart go more that ‘pitter patter’. He described his meeting with Natalie like having fun in heaven.
Natalie was 17 years old at the time of the meeting and she bravely asked Robert’s mother about Robert’s relationship status.
Natalie was his ticket into Hollywood as she introduced him to everyone he needed to know in the industry. She made sure to sell Robert to everyone as she would sing his praises. Robert and Kathy had a great relationship back in the late 1960s. He was a popular, outgoing bachelor who loved to have fun as well as enjoy the luxuries in life, he enjoyed a good relationship with Kathy.
Kathy was the daughter of a renowned businessman who was popular in the electrical and property business. She was 13 years Robert’s junior but this did not prevent her from falling in love with one of the most eligible bachelors in Hollywood at the time. They soon started a relationship after they met and they shared homes in Hollywood and Surrey.
Being one of the most glamorous couples in Hollywood, they began to live the A-list life; hosting parties and attending events together. Soon they became one of the most talked-about couples in Los Angeles.
Kathy was a researcher who worked for the Eamonn Andrews chat show and Robert was busy on the set of the series ‘The Protector’. They both didn’t see the need to make their relationship more serious by getting married and so they enjoyed the courting life they had.
This relationship however began to take downward steep when they started arguing and fighting a little more frequently than normal. In between issues and fights, Kathy got pregnant and eventually bore a son named Matthew on the 7th of March 1971.
4. There Are No Records Of Linda Staab In Any Other Relationship
It is recorded that her husband had some relationships with other women before they met and started dating. However, there are no records of Linda’s past relationship prior to Robert Vaughn. One would think she wasn’t in any other relationship but this may be as a result of the fact that she was not so popular before her marriage to Robert.
5. Linda And Robert Couldn’t Have Children Of Their Own
Despite having an electrifying meet that eventually led to marriage, Linda and Robert did not have kids of their own. Two years into their marriage, they adopted their first child, a son named Cassidy Vaughn who was born in 1976. In 1981, they adopted another child, a daughter named Caitlin Vaughn.
The adoption process was properly done with a lot of researches and background checks. They both loved and dotted on their kids while they were still babies till they grew and came of age. In recent times, it is known that Cassidy runs a car dealership while his sister is an animal anesthetist.
6. Linda Staab’s Husband’s Relationship With Matthew Vaughn
Linda and Robert’s relationship started in the early years of the 1970s and it was rumored that it was an affair as Robert was still with Kathy Ceaton. Therefore, with the birth of Kathy’s son whom she had while still with Robert, he took responsibility for the boy.
Though having doubts about Matthew’s paternity, Robert was made to pay child support to Kathy until the late 1980s. After a paternity test proved Robert to not be Matthew’s father and a court ruling certified it, the truth about the boy’s real dad was revealed.
Robert cared for Matthew for so many years and gave him his last name but it was later revealed that the boy was indeed fathered by George de Vere Drummond. George was an English aristocrat and also linked to King George VI who happened to be his godfather. Kathy was apparently having an affair with George while still with Robert.
Matthew continues to bear Robert’s last name.
7. The Marriage With Robert Vaughn Lasted For Over 40 Years
Linda and Robert’s marriage lasted for about 42 years. She was a loving, patient, and supportive wife of Robert until his death on the 11th of November 2016. Robert died at the age of 83 and less than two weeks to his 84th birthday.
He died in a hospice in Danbury, Connecticut of acute leukemia which he had been battling and treating for a year. Robert died surrounded by his family and loving wife who stayed loyal to him for 42 years.
