According to Twain, Her husband asked for a divorce in the summer of 2008 without reason and it seemed unjust, that he wanted to end their 14-year-old marriage. She went on to confide to her friend, Marie, saying she found the whole thing strange but Marie insisted it wasn’t.
Fredrich told Twain about the affair and Shania felt betrayed and in shock. She called Marie- Anne up to confirm the news and give her an opportunity to confess the whole thing without any accusations but Marie-Anne lied and denied it vehemently.
The Aftermath of the Divorce
After the infidelity saga, some reports carried that Mutt and Lange married and left for Switzerland.
Also, Marie-Anne’s ex-husband and her best friend remained friends, comforting and supporting each other.
Interestingly, they fell in love in their difficult moments and one thing that made Marie’s friend fall in love with Fredric was how he handled the situation which made her admire him.
Afterward, they got engaged in December 2010 and got married on New Year’s Day in 2011 in Rincon, Puerto Rico. The wedding was a small one having 40 guests including family and close friends in attendance.
