The actress Shauntè Massard’s journey in the entertainment industry dates back to when she was in her third year in college. She has established her career as an actor and producer after many years of performing on stage.
Despite being a shy person as a child, she was able to fight her fears and started performing in church drama, and school plays.
She is currently married to Doc Massard, an experienced staffing strategist, and senior recruiter for Northrop Grumman’s Corporate Sector.
Who is Shauntè Massard?
The TV actress was born to Richard Telesford and his wife on September 19, 1977, in Washington DC. Her grandparents were originally from Guyana. Her grandfather, John Telesford, and his wife Peggy had five children out of which her father was the oldest.
Her father and his siblings, Dwayne Akablue Telesford, Kim, and Sharon Telesford migrated to the United States of America in the 1980s.
Growing up, she attended a Catholic school in Washington before she later went to Howard University where she studied Psychology. Shauntè Corrina Massard also received her MFA in Acting from Regent University.
The Actress Started Acting at a Young Age
While growing up, Shauntè was a shy little girl but that did not deter her from stealing the shows whenever she appears on Christmas plays and talent shows. She continued to perform in different stages during her formative years. Some of her favorite stage roles include Amanda Wingfield in the Glass Menagerie and Golde in the Fiddler on the Roof.
Also, she has toured China and Taiwan performing the Broadway play Aida. With that, she began to land more roles on several television networks such as the Lifetime and the Investigation Discovery channel. Aside from acting, she has also featured in a couple of commercials as well.
According to an interview on YouTube, the actress revealed she started featuring in commercials as a toddler in Los Angeles where she only lived for a couple of years.

Is Shauntè Massard Married?
Shauntè revealed she met her husband Doc Massard while she was filming in Virginia and it was her final year. When he first spotted her she was with her brother who’s gay but Doc thought he was her boyfriend.
Although he ignored her at first, Shauntè later reached out to Doc on Facebook and they started talking from there. Her husband’s Facebook bio shows they have been married since 2017.
On one of her posts on Instagram, she referred to him as her ‘Nigeria King’ but it has not been confirmed if he is actually from Nigeria. However, his LinkedIn profile says he is a staffing manager at Northrop Grumman.

Doc Massard went to Wentworth Military Academy & JC. Also, he has a bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of Central Missouri and an MBA from the University of Phoenix.
Shaunte’s husband seems to be a minister at Foundation Christian Ministries also. Apparently, the actress had been married before, and at the time she met Doc, she just ended the marriage. Although she did not share her ex-husband’s name, she used to go by the name Shauntè Tabb Massard before she later changed to Shauntè Corrina Massard. Also, she has often talked about her son who goes by the name Josiah Tabb.
