Upon the couple’s visit to a gallery in Frankfurt, Federico discovered a painting by a 17th-century Italian baroque painter, Guercino. The gallery incorrectly dated the painting as an 18th-century painting and it was put up for auction at $68,000.
Yvonne’s husband bought the painting, restored and insured it, and eventually covered many other expenses it took to make it his. At the end of it all, it cost about $140,000.
However, the actual value of the piece of art was pegged at almost $10 million.
This entire experience was subsequently made into a 6-part Docu-series and it even featured Yvonne and her husband. The title of the series produced by German filmmakers was titled ‘This Can Only Be a Real Guercino’.
She Contributes to the Entertainment Industry by Serving as an Executive Advisor and Consultant
Apart from priding herself as an actress and one-time model, Yvonne has made impactful contributions to the movie industry.
She worked as a consultant for many international film productions and served as an executive advisor for various companies as well.
