The parents of the 47 year-old, René Angélil and Anne Renée first met around the late 1960s when her mother’s music career was still bustling. Her mother got to know her father through the Canadian music producer, Guy Cloutier who was his partner.
According to reports, her parents fell in love and tied the knots in 1973. A year after the wedding, her older brother Jean-Pierre Angélil was born, while she was born 4 years after.
Despite the gift of having her and her older brother, her parents’ marriage didn’t hold. Everything went south after 13 years. They divorced in 1986 when she was just 9 years old.
After the divorce, her father found married Canadian singer Celine Dion, while her mother whose music career had ended 7 years before the divorce relocated to California.
Anne-Marie Angélil’s Mother Is One Of Her Father’s 3 Wives
Besides her mother, her father has been married to two other women. His first marriage was in 1966 to Denyse Duquette, and two years later her oldest step-brother Patrick Angélil was born. Unfortunately, the marriage ended in divorce in 1972.
While her mother was the second woman her father married and divorced, he went on to marry Celine Dion on December 17th, 1994. Prior to the marriage, they started dating in 1988, 2 years after separating from his daughter’s mother.
It was this marriage that gave Angélil’s daughter 3 more step-siblings; René-Charles Angélil born on 25th January 2001 and twins; Eddy Angélil and Nelson Angélil born on 23rd October 2010.

Her Step-Mother Celine Dion is 9 Years Older Than Her
As mentioned earlier, René Angélil’s oldest daughter was born on June 12, 1977. Her step-mother on other hand was born on March 30, 1968. The age difference between them is 9 years, 1 year short of a decade. Going further, she was 17 when her father married Dion.
Interestingly, there isn’t any age gap between her step-brother Patrick Angélil and her step-mother. Both of them were born in 1968.
She Has Been Married To Marc Dupré Since 2000
René Angélil’s only daughter walked down the aisle with Canadian singer Marc Dupré on 25th August 2000 at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Montreal, Quebec. Although it is not clear the number of guests that attended the wedding, her step-mother Celine Dion graced the occasion when she was pregnant with René-Charles Angélil.
The 24 year-old marriage has been blessed with three amazing kids; a girl and two boys, Stella, Lenny, and Anthony.
Interestingly, out of the 3 kids, Stella is gradually following in the footsteps of her grandparents and father. She has performed alongside her father on the stage. Also, she has captured the hearts of so many with her melodic voice through songs and covers.

Her Father Died of Throat Cancer In January 2016
The Canadian lost her father René Angélil on Thursday, 14th January 2016 after a protracted battle with cancer. He died last than 24 hours before his 74th birthday at his home in Las Vegas.
Her father was first diagnosed with throat cancer in 1998. However, there are reports indicating the diagnosis was in 1999, after experiencing a couple of health issues and a heart attack in 1993.
Even though he appeared to have recovered fully, he had surgery in 2013. The following year, he stepped down as his wife’s manager to pay more attention to his health. In 2015, his daughter’s step-mother announced that his cancer had progressed and has just 5 months to live.
His funeral service was held at Notre-Dame Basilica in Montreal, Quebec, which was where his wedding to Celine Dion took place. His remains was laid to rest at the Notre Dame des Neiges Commentary on 22nd January 2016.
