Dominique Thorne is a 27-year-old Caribbean-American actress who made her professional debut in 2018 in the film If Beale Street Could Talk as Sheila Hunt. Also, she is quite popular for being cast in Black Panther 2.

Dominique Thorne was born May 11, 1997, in Brooklyn New York to Nerrisa and Navie Guy. The actress has two brothers, Ky-mani and Caleb.
Her family roots can be traced to the Caribbean as her Parents are from Trinidad and Tobago. They are immigrants who settled in the United States.

Thorne made her debut in the film If Beale Street Could Talk (2018)with the role of Shiela Hunt who was the ill-tempered younger sister of the protagonist, Fonny Hunt.
The film was directed by the Academy Award winner, Barry Jenkins. The film received accolades and awards like the AFI Awards for Movie of the Year, and Independent Spirit Awards for Best Feature.
Afterward, she acted as Judy Harmon in the film Judas and the Black Messiah in 2021.
In 2020 she was cast as one of the superheroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe Disney series Iron Heart.
