His mother, Cynthia whom he is still close to works as an insurance sales agent while his father, William Joseph Scott was a civil engineer. Sadly his father passed away in 2007.

The 53 years old actress and wife of Tom Scott Everett is the mother of their two children. Their first child a daughter, Arly Scott was born on June 6, 2000. They welcomed their second child, Finn Scott Everett in 2004.
Apart from appearing on the red carpet with his parents for movie premiers, he has stayed far away from the media, and his life remains obscure in mystery.
As for Arly, she chose a musical career and sings in a band. She released her first single Indio Canyon Drive under her name in 2020.

7. Tom Left a Popular Movie Role Due To Budget Cuts
The popular actor and lead character in That Thing You Do Once starred in the first season of Southland. With the character role of Detective Russell Clarke in the series, it was hoped that he will remain in the police drama for long.
However, shortly after appearing in the first season, Everett left the role. The producers of the show NBC canceled the show and after TNT picked it Tom had to leave due to budget cuts.
Interestingly Tom Scott Everett appeared in a recurring role within the second and third seasons.
