Jesse Lee Plant is the last of Robert Plant’s children with two sisters; Maureen Wilson and Shirley Wilson. Not much is known about the life of Jesse except that he was born from a questionable relationship that his father had with his mother – Shirley Wilson.

Jesse was born in 1991 to his parents, Robert Plant and Shirley Wilson. His father is a popular English singer and songwriter, best known as the lead singer and lyricist of the English rock band – Led Zeppelin.

As mentioned earlier, Jesse’s birth and identity have remained contentious over the years and this is because of the strange relationships his father had with both his mother and aunt who later turned out to be his stepmother.

In 1966, Jesse’s father met Maureen Wilson at a Georgie Fame concert which was canceled just before its start. His father and Maureen fell in love at first sight and began a relationship which led to them marrying in 1968.
Despite Robert’s numerous financial challenges, Maureen was willing to walk down the aisle with him and in fact assisted him because she was at that time a practicing professional nurse. Maureen also helped Robert secure a job in her father’s steel company before he was able to get a foothold in the entertainment industry and become the celebrity he is today.
Jesse’s father and Maureen had 3 children together namely; Carmen Jane Plant, Karac Pendragon plant (who died in 1972 as a result of a stomach virus.), and Logan Romero Plant.
About 15 years later, Maureen and Robert decided to go separate ways because of several issues that were affecting their marriage. These issues were connected to infidelity, perceived negligence, and the death of Karac Pendragon Plant who was at that time the couple’s last child.
How Jesse Lee Became Robert Plant’s Son with His Former Sister-In-Law, Shirley Wilson
8 years after Maureen and Robert split, Robert had an affair with his former sister-in-law; Shirley Wilson. Shirley interestingly took in for Robert and delivered Jesse Lee in 1991.
While many people believe that Shirley and Robert’s relationship lasted a long time, some believe that it was simply an action in line with Robert’s promiscuous endeavous.
More so, Robert is known to be a musician that loves wild romantic adventures; part of the reasons that made his marriage end with Maureen.
Did His Parents Ever Get Married?
Shirley and Plant never got married. It has also not been established if their relationship continued after they had Jesse Lee.
However, Robert, Shirley, and his ex-wife Maureen all have a very cordial relationship despite all that has happened in the past. They even came together as a family and embarked on a trip to Morocco in 2018.
Furthermore, Robert notably attended Maureen’s 70th birthday in 2018 as a guest artist, performing songs like Little Sister, One Night, and A Big Hunk O’Love for her.

His Father Survived a Fatal Car Accident in 1975
Jesse’s father survived a fatal road accident on the Greek Island of Rhodes in 1975. Surprisingly, his aunt who is also his stepmother was the one driving the hired Austin Mini, with Robert in the passenger seat.
The Plant family was seriously injured when their car skidded off the road and collided with a tree in a ravine. Thrown against the steering wheel, Maureen suffered life-threatening injuries and lost a large amount of blood. Her pelvis fractured, and she suffered a concussion for 36 hours from a fractured skull.
Jesse’s mother and some other people who were following the car behind managed to get medical help and this ultimately saved the lives of Robert and Maureen.
His Cousin/Step-Brother; Logan Romero is an Entertainer
Jesse’s step-brother, Logan Romero is trailing the path of stardom in the entertainment industry with the musical group Black Country Bandits.
Logan is also growing in the business world having established his personal company in 2012. The name of his company is Beaverton Brewery.
As it stands, Jesse maintains a cordial relationship with Logan Romero and Carmen Jane who are both first cousins and siblings to him. He also relates well with Maureen who is both his aunt and stepmother.
