Mark Putnam’s children, Danielle Putnam Glynn and Mark Putnam Jr. have only reached the spotlight due to their father’s fame as the first American FBI to be convicted for homicide. However, they moved to be involved in different careers. Mark Jr. is a purported psychologist while another source claims Danielle to be deceased.
In any case, both Mark’s children are married and enjoy certain degrees of privacy. They also have careers in different fields but then, what happens to the scars caused by their father’s murder of Susan Smith and the loss of their mother? Also, what is the truth about Danielle being deceased or that she changed her name twice? Find out everything as you read further.
Let’s Look at the Lives of Mark Putnam’s children Since their Father’s Infamous Murder Case
…Starting With Their Whereabout After Their Father’s Conviction
Danielle and Mark Jr. lived with their mother following their father’s conviction. Their mother would sometimes keep them away from speaking to their father and even shut them out.
The typical life of a child was not entirely what they got served since they had to deal with knowing that their father was thrown in jail. Whether they knew that it was because of murder or what, it doesn’t change the fact that they had to be raised by a single mother who had a lot of scars to heal.
Unfortunately, their mother, Kathy Putnam never really healed as she suffered heartbreak and battled with depression. One sad part of this was that she would sometimes shut everyone, including Danielle and Mark whom she bore in the 1980s from her marriage.
While trying to find a balance and move on, Danielle, at 13 found their mother dead of heartbreak. Even at that, there are reports that alcoholism led to Kathy’s demise when she had an organ failure.
She died at 38 on January 6, 1998.
Danielle and Mark Jr. Were Raised by Their Maternal Grandparents
Following Kathy’s tragic end and since their father was in jail, Mark Putnam’s children moved in with their paternal grandparents, Raymond Joseph Ponticelli and Carol Ponticelli in Manchester.
They continued with their lives there until around 2000 when their father was released after spending 10 years behind bars.
Their father relocated to Florida where the 2 children continued with their lives.
One good part is, they may have had a good relationship with their father even while he was in prison. This assertion is based on the fact that their mother Kathy kept a good relationship with their father before her demise that changed their family forever.
Again, their paternal grandparents also kept a good relationship with Mark Sr. In fact, Carol was wildly convinced that Mark Putnam committed the crime accidentally and that he was a good man.
Sadly, they lost their grandparents in the 2010s. Ray died on May 17, 2014, at 73 while Carol died on 29 May 2018 at 77.
They Had a Stepmother and Could Have Had a Stepsibling
Following the release of the older Mark from prison, he found love in another woman and became married to her.
Looking at it from another angle, the siblings could have had a stepsibling if not for the death of Susan Smith. When their father murdered her by strangulation, she was reportedly pregnant with his child.
He then became the first American FBI to be convicted of homicide.

The Siblings Were Married – Probably Still Married
By 2014, both Danielle and Mark Jr. were in serious relationships.
Danielle was then married to Keith Glynn and was known as Danielle Glynn.
On the other hand, Mark Jr. was engaged to Nikki Epps whom he later married.
Mark is a Psychologist while Danielle is Claimed to be Deceased
While this information may be a little sketchy, veripages.com announces that Mark is a psychiatrist. He has worked with numerous guidance centers, rehabilitation centers, and hospitals.
You would recall that at the beginning of this part of the article, we mentioned that this information is sketchy. The reason is not farfetched from the fact that it reports Mark as a 36-year-old (at the time of this report) but also claims that he graduated from the university in 1988.
While this does not seem true because of the age and year, the site links his relatives as Kathleen (mother), and Mark (father) among other family members that are verifiable.
Now, moving on to his sister Danielle, a source claims that she is deceased and lived in Lake Worth, Florida. The source also claims that she has been known by three names: Danielle Putnam, Danielle Glynn, and Laura Wissel.
It also went further to assert that she was a family medicine specialist.
